Kickers Foods Inc. has launched its flavoured boneless dry ribs to a very receptive Saskatchewan market. Kelly Crozier, owner of Kickers is pleased with the success of his products. His journey started with the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market and now sells across Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. Kickers products are unique to other dry ribs in the marketplace. “We start with 95% to100% lean meat. Consumers normally get ribs which have a lot of fat, gristle and are heavily breaded ,” said Kelly.

Kickers offer several flavours to please any taste bud: Lemon Pepper, Buffalo, Honey Garlic, Hot Honey Garlic, and Garlic Crush. Kelly is excited to announce that Kickers ribs will be sold at the 3 Sobeys grocery stores in Saskatoon starting October.

Kelly is already developing new products to add to his rib line. In the works are pulled pork and brisket.

Kickers received funding from the Growing Forward2 – SAVI Funding Program to help launch his Saskatchewan made products. The SAVI program helps develop and expand small to medium-sized enterprises and producer/processor organizations who add value to agricultural products. It provides funding to these organizations to help capture market opportunities.
