The Food Centre has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor to work in a multi-faceted food production facility. Your primary job will be to supervise production start up and manufacturing of multiple products. You will be required to supervise employees to ensure security, safety, food specs, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP and CFIA regulations are followed.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience in a food manufacturing company is required
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- Knowledge of Food safety, HACCP, OH&S and CFIA regulations.
- Passionate about maintaining Food Safety and Health & Safety of employees
- Ability to improve productivity by being proactive and taking initiative
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills

Job Responsibilities:

The Food Centre has an immediate opening for an Extruder Operator to work in the Extrusion R&D program. You will be part of a team involved in extrusion-related projects for food applications with external clients and internal initiatives. Learn and develop your skills in a fast-paced, hands-on, project-based, product development environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in extrusion, food or plastic extrusion, food is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a machine operator in an industrial setting
- Skillful experience with MS Excel and Word
- High school diploma or equivalent, trade or technician certification is an asset
Job Responsibilities:

The Food Centre has an opening for a Shipper/Receiver. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely shipping, receiving, and storage of goods at the Food Centre, ensuring compliance with HACCP and CFIA regulations. This role supports both internal operations and client needs in a federally regulated food processing environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Prepare shipping documents (e.g. bills of lading, packing slips, work orders).
- Load/unload trucks; inspect and verify condition and documentation of goods.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of incoming materials.
- Assemble, package, and label outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and trace lost or delayed shipments.
- Complete documentation for damaged or returned items and coordinate follow-up.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries with clients and carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
Compliance & HACCP

The Food Centre is looking for a full-time Food/Meat Processing Specialist. This role will assist current and future Food Centre clients at our Pilot Plant location (on University of Saskatchewan campus) with their food production projects with a focus on meat production as well as other food products. As part of our Food Centre team, you will responsible for assisting clients in their production and equipment operation as well as shipping/receiving, inventory control, documentation, QA/QC duties, and other duties as required. This position reports to the Pilot Plant Manager and may lead into a leadership role for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Experience in a federally inspected meat facility would be an asset
- Sausage making/curing/smokehouse operation would be a requirement
- Working knowledge within HACCP systems
- Highly attentive to food quality and detail
- Good math and reading skills
- Ability to work with heavy equipment
- Work in varied temperature environments
- Must have good attendance and punctuality
