Numerous suites available to accommodate your process
Once a product is developed and process has been optimized during our scale-up test, we provide processing incubation suites for product commercialization. The Food Centre offers options for short-term processing or incubation for longer term.
Daily Rental Processing
The Food Centre operates a 10,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, located on 52 Innovation Boulevard (on U of S Campus) and holds various registrations, licenses and certifications to allow our clients to access global markets. Our “Pilot Plant” has 2 suites to accommodate different processes, a cook room, packaging room and staging coolers.
- HACCP Recognized by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)
- CFIA inspected – licensed to process meat, dairy, processed fruit and vegetables, fish and processed foods.
- Organic Certified (USA and Canada) through ProCert
- HALAL licensed through HALAL Advisory Group
- FDA approved for processed foods
The facility is fully equipped to manufacture a variety of food products from boneless pork ribs, sausages, jam and snack bars to kimchi. Clients have the option of bringing in their own staff to manufacture their products or the Food Centre can custom process if you don’t have the staff or time to commit. The daily fee will depend on the complexity of the process and equipment required.

Long-term Incubation Processing
Long-term incubation processing is offered at the Agri-Food Innovation Centre, located on 2335 Schuyler Street in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This 55,200 square foot multi-unit complex offers 8 incubation suites for clients pursuing larger markets and need more capacity.
We have a dedicated bottling line and a large dry packaging room. Tenants bring in their pre-approved equipment for processing, ingredients, and supplies. Office space, Food Safety Coordinator, Shipper/Receiver and some general utilities are provided. Need more info?
