Food Centre receives funding to enhance co-packaging capacity
The Food Centre was pleased to have the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development, on behalf of the Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan, announce a federal investment at the Food Centre today – over $10.2 million investment in agri-food and advanced manufacturing innovation, and community revitalization.
The Food Centre is thrilled to be one of the many recipients! The funding we received will increase the Food Centre’s co-packing capacity for the agri-food sector in Saskatchewan, in specific areas such as packaging, condiment production, snack food processing, milling, modified ingredient scale-up, ingredient isolation & purification, and R&D services in plant-based food sector. We are looking forward to leading the innovation and commercialization opportunities for Saskatchewan’s agri-food sector into the future.
It was a pleasure touring Minister Hutchings through our facility and participating in an impromptu sensory of some delicious extruded pulse snacks!
