Dan Prefontaine recognized for promoting innovation in pulse utilization

Congratulations to Dan Prefontaine on being named Pulse Promoter by the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Association at their AGM on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020.  Dan was chosen for his many years of work and leadership at the Food Centre for increasing the use of pulse ingredients in food products.  His efforts to help increase the utilization of Saskatchewan pulse ingredients in food products around the globe resulted in the first extrusion technology in the province, development of a pulse innovation culture at the Food Centre and construction of the Agri-Food Innovation Centre, which will see expansion of our extrusion expertise utilizing pulse ingredients.
